Welcome to HappenStance, an independent publisher specialising in poetry pamphlets. Based in Scotland, the press was originated by Helena Nelson in 2005 and she continues as main editor/blogger.

You'll find information here about HappenStance and its publications, but also about pamphlet publishing in general. In the Sphinx area, for example, there are comprehensive chapbook reviews, as well as interviews with pamphlet publishers. It is a growing resource.

HappenStance operates a subscription scheme to allow readers and prospective poets an insight into the press and how it works. For a small annual payment, you can purchase publications at a reduced rate, as well as receiving one free pamphlet and an annual chapter of The HappenStance Story.
